Payment Terms for Fans and Artist
The basic service is free. There are no registration fee or signup costs, and no listing fees. We make money by earning 20% on digital media sales per download. That's it.
If you are a recording company or label, how does it work?
The rate of revenue sharing is based on sales to your PayPal email address, not your GaraheJam account. So if you're a recording company or a label having several artist accounts all using the same PayPal address, your rate will be calculated by the total sales of all those artists.
Are there payment processing fees included in the revenue sharing?
No processing fee is included, all fees are process through PayPal. PayPal's standard transaction fee is 2.9% + $0.30 USD. There are two ways you can lower that fee: Please contact PayPal Micropricing Support at 888-433-6829 for details, if interested in getting a discount.
Will taxes be applied on the sales transaction?
You are responsible in paying or remitting the appropriate taxes to the taxing agency. We advice that you consult your personal tax advisor for further assistance.
How do I get paid?
When a fan download and purchase your song/songs, the money goes directly into your PayPal account you specify (GaraheJam doesn't hold your money).
Additionally, you will earn $5.69 for each song streamed or listened a 1000 times.
